Star Fleet Admiral
Edward Launceston served as the Commanding Officer of the USS Iowa a Galaxy Class Starship in Bravo Fleet 's Task Force 72. He served in that position from 2375 to 2377 when he stepped aside from the position and was replaced temporarly by his First Officer Commander Daniel Butterworth who oversaw the appointment of the Iowa's next Commanding Officer in the form of Commander Norvin Kallis. After leaving the Iowa Launceston transferred back to Earth and took up position at Star Fleet Headquarters. He was promoted to the rank of Rear Admiral in late 2383 and transferred to Fifth Fleet.
