Lyda Wright, MD, is a talented Starfleet Doctor currently serving at Starfleet Medical on Earth and holds the current rank of Lieutenant. Lyda joined Starfleet in 2368 in part to stay close to her boyfriend Evan Ottaway, but followed a different career track from him by pursuing a career in medicine. Wright interned on the USS Merrimac before transferring the USS Pacifica in 2378 to complete her Residency and to join up with Lieutenant Commander Ottaway. Wright remained on the Pacifica following Ottaway's death later that year and completed her Residency in 2379. With her reason for joining the Pacifica no longer present, Wright put in for a transfer back to Earth to be closer to her family and friends.
