General Overview

The Ti'ane system is made of a older K type star with only 3 planets. Ti'ane II is home to a sentient race that recently achieved warp travel. Ti'ane II is slowly emerging from global ice age that began approximately 36,000 years ago, with Ice sheets reaching the equatorial regions of the planet approximately 15,000 years ago. As the ice has begun to retreat, native inhabitants have discovered the ruins of a civilization that appears to have reached the late industrial era before being nearly wiped out.

Federation research teams have been invited by the local government to help uncover and explore the extensive ruins. The project is headed by Dr. Shore.

Type K

Temp 4000 kelvan (currently)

Ti'ane goes through a temperature osculation cycle that lasts approximately 250,000 years. The star is currently warming and is expected to reach approximately 5000 kelvan at it's warmest. This osculation is responsible for Ti'ane II's recent ice age. The cause is currently unknown.

Celestial Objects

There is a large loosely bound asteroid belt that lies outside of the orbit of the third planet. It is believed that this is a planet that broke apart sometime in the system's history.
