	The USS Pacifica was launched from the Beta Antaries Fleet Yards in December of 2331. The Pacifica was commissioned the following year and placed under the command of Captain William Pierce who takes the Pacifica out on it's shakedown cruise that lasts well into 2333. Following the competition of it's shakedown Starfleet Command dispatched Captain Pierce and the Pacifica to the Beta Quadrant for a long term deep space assignment that lasted until 2340. During it's seven year exploration cruise in the Beta Quadrant the Pacifica logged four first contacts and charted numerous new star systems.
