ON:

Francine had watched the newlywed's first dance together with a large smile on her face. She found the opening dance to be quite lovely, as it simple yet warm and romantic. It was truly wonderful moment and it was one that Francine knew the happy couple would remember for the rest of their lives. The newly married couple shared a long passionate kiss on the dance floor as the song came to an end causing the room to break out into a loud round of applause. The round of applause was quickly followed by the voice of Francine's date Lt. Commander Matthew Horne who only minutes ago had welcomed the newlyweds to the dance floor.

Horne: Ladies and Gentlemen, thank you for your attention. The dance floor is now open.

Matthew looked across in the direction of the band and nodded his head giving the band the green light to get their next song underway. Taking their cue the Pacifica's band quickly leapt into their next song which contained a much quickly tempo then the opening number that had been chosen by Daniel and Connie. People from around the room started to venture out onto the dance floor and it wasn't long before the dance floor was full of happily dancing couples.

Seeing all of the smiling faces on the dance floor quickly brought a smile to Matthew's face as he leaned forward and rested his arms on the solid podium in front of him. It had been a wonderful evening so far, and with the dance floor open it was only going to get better. Matthew casually glanced back across to his table where his lovely date was sitting and engaged in conversation with Lieutenant Holly White. Matthew had been captivated by Francine's beauty for the entire wedding and now was no exception, as she was looking as beautiful and as radiant as ever.

White: That was such a beautiful song.

Francine nodded her head in between drinks from her glass of champagne, as she finished off what was left in the glass. She had been talking to Holly White for the past couple of minutes since the dance floor had been opened.

Hart: It was, wasn't it. Do you know the name of it?

White: No I don't, but I know that Ive heard it somewhere before.

Hart: Same here, I might try and ask someone about it later on.

White: ;;nods;; The band would know.

Waiter: Excuse me Miss.

Hart: Yes?

She looked up at the waiter to see that he was carrying around a trey with glasses of champagne on it.

Waiter: Would you like another glass of champagne?

Hart: Oh um yes please.

Picking up her empty glass she passed it to the waiter, who quickly supplied her with a new glass. She thanked the waiter, as he moved off to table 9. Taking a sip from her fresh drink Francines eyes fell on Matthew's who was standing over at the podium. Francine smiled at him and gently waved in his direction as she noticed that she was the centre of his attention.

White: I didn't realise that you and Lt. Commander Horne were so close.

Francine's glass hung near her lips as she turned around to face a smiling Holly.

Hart: It's a little bit out of the blue isn't it?

White: Kind of, but things like this often are. You two do seem to be getting on pretty well.

Placing her glass back down on the table Francine smiled at Holly as she answered her.

Hart: Well he's a great guy.

White: Oh sounds to me like this could be serious.

Francine smiled and shook her head. She hadn't thought much about what was going on between her and Matthew, as she had been too busy enjoying his company to think of much else.

Hart: I don't really know ;;shrugs;; I guess it could be.

White: Well you know what they say.

Hart: What's that?

White: There's only one way to find out.

With that a large smile appeared on Holly's face causing Francine to look over her shoulder in time to see Matthew heading her way. Francine guessed that he was returning to his seat but she was pleasantly surprised when he offered her his hand.

Horne: May I have this dance?

Hart: ;;smiling;; Of course.

Francine glanced to Holly who smiled at her, as Francine reached up and took hold of Matthew's hand. Looking back at Matthew, Francine stood up from her chair and followed him out onto the dance floor.
