Commander Evan Ottaway served on the USS Pacifica as Chief Operations Officer and later as Second Officer from when the ship was commissioned until his death in 2378. Commander Ottaway was played by Evan Ottaway himself who after the death of his character took up the role of Commander Buzz Polaris. He is now playing as Lieutenant Commander Vanessa Baron.
