Starbase 99 also known as Alexandria Station is a Federation Starbase located in the Alexandria Star System near the Merlin Nebula. Alexandria Station is Starfleet's main operating base in the sector and is the Flagbase for Starfleet's Fifth Fleet. During the Gorn Crisis of 2382-83 Alexandria Station served as a critical staging and defensive point for Starfleet forces alongside Starbase 456.
