Class Information

The Sovereign Class Yacht was designed for use on the Sovereign Class Starship, when not in use the shuttle is usually docked to the under-side of the Sovereign's saucer. It's primary functions are diplomatic missions and long-range long-duration away missions. Although it has a single deck it's layout offers the best possible comfort for it's passengers and crew. Based roughly on the layout of the Danube Class Runabout it has been sectioned into 3 parts all of which are accessible via a small corridor. The rear section contains mission-relative equipment access to a small under-carriage cargo area and overhead storage areas. The middle section has 4 small staterooms small bathrooms replicator and seating for up to 10 people. The front section contains the flight control consoles, unlike most runabouts and shuttles the Sovereign Class Yacht has a dorsal docking port with drop-down ladder located in the middle section, this is due to the unique way it is able to dock with it's ship. It also has a door in the cockpit which allows the crew to easily leave the craft when landed.
