The USS Trenchard NCC-72135 was an Akira Class starship that was lost in the Gamma Quadrant before the Dominion War. The Trenchard was one of the first Akira Class vessels commissioned by the Federation and spent the vast majority of it's Star Fleet career patrolling the Cardassian Border. The Pacifica's own Lieutnant Commander Matthew Horne served aboard the vessel as a junior engineer from 2374-2375.
