Matt was born on Earth in the state of Ohio both of Matt's parents were Starfleet Officers, his mother worked at Starfleet Medical and his father worked at the Academy. Easy to say that Matt was exposed to the Starfleet way of life early on, when Matt completed his primary school he entered Starfleet Academy. When he got to the Academy he decided that he wanted to be a Marine, his academy courses were tailored accordingly. Matt struggled with some of the academics but made it up in the practical training. In the field his instructors thought that Matt was a natural leader with a good head on his shoulders. Much of his academy life was uneventful and peaceful Matt enjoyed his time at the Academy but was somewhat impatient to get his career started and to get on a starship. | |||
