Lieutenant Adrian Doherty is a hard working member of the Pacifica’s Engineering Deparment. History

Pre Starfleet Academy

Ever since he was young Adrian has had a great understanding on computers, excelling through primary and secondary schools. After leaving high school, he went and attended a very hard demanding computer course that was provided by the Daystrom Institute which he passed through with high marks.

Academy History

After finishing his course at the Daystorm Institute, he was offered a place as a cadet at Starfleet Academy only the second person to do so that came from the Institute's course. He worked hard at the Academy studying basic engineering as a second course but computer systems was his main focus point. He graduated as one of the highest achievers in computer systems.

Starfleet History

After graduating Adrian was offered a position as a junior computer system developer at the Daystrom Institute but turned it down preferring to get some field experience instead. So he took up a position as junior engineer aboard the Excellsor Class USS Hood with the rank of Ensign. After saving the ship from certain destruction from a computer virus he was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant Junior Grade, before being promoted again to full Lieutenant when he transferred to the USS Pacifica to take on the role as the ship's computer systems specialist.

He served in that position on the Pacifica for two years keeping the ships computers in check whilst also helping out in other areas of the Engineering Department. Coming into his third year on the Pacifica Lieutenant Kirkwood offered Doherty a promotion from computer systems specialist to a position as a general engineer which provided Doherty with a chance to further his career without having to leave the Pacifica. Doherty jumped at the opportunity and accepted the promotion, as he had firmly established his roots on the Pacifica.
