The [[USS Pacifica]] returned to [[Starbase 257]] for a much needed resupply following the success of the mission in the Rabbit Hole. Armed with the information gathered from the crippled Rikan vessel found in the rabbit hole [[Daniel Butterworth|Commodore Butterworth]] started devising a plan to bring an end to the pirate operations once for all. The green light for [[Daniel Butterworth|Butterworth's]] plan came from Star Fleet Command the following morning with every starship from the [[Rikan Task Group]] being pulled from their assignments to join the [[USS Pacifica|Pacifica]] at [[Starbase 257]] to take part in the mission.
Following the success of the Task Group's assault against the Rikan's primary base of operations the [[USS Pacifica]] departed the [[Carlina System]] bound for Earth with the Pacifica due for a computer upgrade at [[McKinley Station|Earth Station McKinely]]. The crew were a buzz with talk of shoreleave and the upcoming wedding of [[Daniel Butterworth|Commodore Daniel Butterworth]] and [[Connie Butterworth|Doctor Connie Morgan which was to take place on Earth during the Pacifica's upgrade.  
 
 
With [[Daniel Butterworth|Commodore Butterworth]] putting the final touches on the plans for the mission the rest of the Pacifica's crew were busy seeing to the resupply. Rumours of an early departure from the Starbase had the [[USS Pacifica|Pacifica's]] crew led by the returning [[Francine Hart|Lieutenant Hart]] and the Operations Department working on overdrive to get the resupply completed on time. [[Connie Butterworth|Doctor Morgan]] and her medical staff down in sickbay were not only kept busy by the resupply but by [[James Markson|Lieutenant Commander James Markson]] who had suddenly collapsed in sickbay while seeing [[Sarah Patterson|Doctor Patterson]] about a headache. Puzzled by [[James Markson|Markson's]] sudden unexplained collapse [[Connie Butterworth|Doctor Morgan]] ordered the Pacifica's helmsman to be fully sedated as she preformed a full workup on him. Also during this busy time the Pacifica's First Officer [[L%27Verrem|Lieutenant Commander L'Verrem]] welcomed the new Chief Strategic Operations Officer [[Sevik|Lieutenant Junior Grade Sevik]] to the ship.
