Hermes System

The Hermes System is a Federation controlled star system located near the Merlin Nebula and the Cestus System. The system was first charted by the Federation by the USS Yorktown in 2200, Hermes II was colonised by the Federation in 2211 and the planet has grown over the years to become one of the largest Federaion Worlds in the region. The System is home to Starbase 456 which was constructed by Starfleet in 2342 to serve as a vigil against the Gorn Hegemony.
