The Records Officer is charged with the maintaining of diplomatic records for a vessel/base. These records can consist of, but are not limited to, the recording of official first contacts, treaty negotiations, trade agreements, legal documents, and other documentation regarding relations with world both aligned and non-aligned worlds. These individuals are qualified to undertake any tasks that could be asked of a general Diplomatic Officer, however they specialize in the record-keeping aspect of this department.
