General Overview
The USS Cortez NCC-50120 is a Starfleet Medical Vessel operating out of Starbase 251. The Cortez is a Miranda Class Starship that was converted to a Medical Vessel in 2359. The Cortez and it's sister ship the USS Lesley were dispatched to the Archerian System in 2380 along with the USS Pacifica to render medical assistance to the planet Archerian IV. Both the Cortez and the Lesley spent close to a week working with the Archerians before both vessels were dispatched to answer a distress call from a Federation Mining Colony in the Alpha Eridani System.
