Simm Rules
Please try and keep in mind the following guidelines at all time. It is important that new players have read and understood the rules before applying.
1. This USS Pacifica is a simulation first more then anything else. The most important aspect of this simulation is character development and the relationships that develop between the characters through the various missions that we undertake. These missions are designed to be entertaining and fun while covering a wide spectrum of different themes and topics relating to Star Trek.
2. The USS Pacifica works off a one post per week policy, all crewmembers are expected to attempt to do at least one post a week. . The post doesn't need to be long or even that spectacular. But it should be about your character in the current storyline/plot. If that is not possible as is sometimes the case due to the nature of the certain missions then you should try post a personal log or something else as a sub-plot. We understand that this posting requirement cannot always be met due to real life commitments like school and work. However other arrangements can usually be worked out with Commodore Butterworth.
3. We are ask that you act with dignity at all times and act according to the rules and regulations that govern the simulation. We are also ask that you respect other crewmembers at all times. If you happen to have a dispute with another player we ask that you try to work it out privately off list as not to affect your fellow crewmembers. You can at any time talk about this with the ships command staff, as they are able to step in and mediate any dispute. Under no circumstances will flaming, trolling and verbal abuse of any kind be tolerated on this simulation.
4. The Pacifica is rated PG-13 and is recommended for people aged at least 13 and over. Anyone under the age of 13 must have express permission from a parent or guardian before applying to join this group. The Pacifica and Bravo Fleet complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998, anyone with questions about this should contact Commodore Butterworth
5. We ask that you take time and care when filling out your application, as getting the position that your requesting depends heavily on the character that you submit. Your starting rank is also determined on the quality of your application, so take the time to read through it and make that everything is correct. We also ask that you have some basic knowledge on the position that you are applying for. For example it wouldnt be a good idea to apply for the position of Chief Engineer if you didnt know your tricorder from a phase inducer. If you are unsure or are just starting out then we recommend that you start at security, tactical, helm, and navigation or as a marine.
