Known as Geomorteus planets, Class B worlds are young planets that are larger than Class A planets. They have partially molten surfaces and active volcanoes. Not all Class B planets have an atmosphere but those that do have a very thin one. Mercury in the Sol System is considered to be a Class B planet, though Mercury's surface is solid and without known volcanoes.
