Service History
Lieutenant Junior Grade Lindi Kafton was assigned to the Sovereign Class USS Pacifica in July 2379 following a tour of the duty on the USS Cairo. As the third most senior member of the Pacifica's Medical Staff Kafton often swung between Gamma and Delta Shifts. She was also the lead member of the Pacifica's Rapid Response Medical Unit and would respond to emergency situations across the ship.
In 2381 during the famously dubbed "Rikan Campaigns," Kafton served as a senior member on the runabout Odin when it was dispatched from the Pacifica on a Marine led mission to respond to a distress call from the Federation Freighter Durban. The Durban had been ambushed and attacked by the Rikan Pirates near the Neutral Zone and all but one of the Durban's crew members were killed during the confrontation. Kafton looked after the sole survivor Ensign Kirsty Calmwood and treated her for her injuries.
Lieutenant Kafton continued to serve on the Pacifica until the end of 2382 when she was approached by the Commander of Starbase 456 who offered her a position as the Starbase's Assistant Chief Medical Officer. The Pacifica at the time was docked at the Starbase where it was preparing for it's mission to the Isis Arm. Kafton accepted the promotion and transferred to the Starbase with a promotion to the rank of full Lieutenant.
