History

Childhood & Early Life

Named after her grandmother Connie Elizabeth Morgan was born on the 5th of October 2352 in the city of Sydney Australia on the planet of Earth to parents Elizabeth and Patrick Morgan. At the time of her birth both of her parents had taken leave from their work with the Starfleet Diplomatic Core where her mother was serving as a Diplomat to focus on their new roles as parents. Elizabeth briefly returned to her with the Diplomatic Core in September 2353, but made the decision to step back from her work in 2354 so she could focus all of her attention on raising her daughter with Patrick. Her decision to step away from work had also been triggered by the news that she was pregnant with her second child. The Morgan’s packed up their lives in Sydney and moved to the much quieter city of Hobart on Australia’s southern island called Tasmania where practically all of Elizabeth’s large extended family lived including her own parents. The Morgan’s easily adjusted to the much quieter and slowed paced city and quickly grew to consider the island state as their home and they soon welcomed their second daughter Kelly Ann Morgan into the world on the 12th of February 2355.

Connie was not much past the age of two when her parents brought Kelly home from the local hospital. She immediately grew attached to her baby sister as she loved nothing more than playing the role of big sister, so much so that she would always try to help her mum with looking after Kelly even though she wasn’t very helpful most of the time as she was too young. Connie’s bond with her sister continued to grow as th

Connie was born in Australia's biggest city Sydney, her parents moved down to Tasmania about 1 and a half years after her birth as her parent wanted to move somewhere quite to her raise her, her mother Elizabeth was pregnant at the time with her sister Kelly. Her sister was born not long after they had settled into their new home. Connie immediately grew attached to her sister and played a good big sister role. Her and her sister were always very good friends, but they occasionally clashed during their childhood as most siblings do. Connie also did excellent in her school work and was one of the brightest students in her class.

Starfleet Academy

Connie enrolled in Starfleet Academy at the age of 16. She had her sights set on joining Star Fleet Medical as she enjoyed being able to help people in need, she had the skills and knowledge for the task and done a number of medical courses through the Academy. It was during her time at the academy that she met her future husband and Commanding Officer Daniel Butterworth with whom she formed an immediate strong relationship with him. After finishing at Starfleet Academy she transferred to Starfleet Medical to finish her medical training.

Starfleet Career

After Graduating from Starfleet Academy Connie transferred to Starfleet Medical to complete her training. She was at Starfleet Medical for 3 years and developed her medical skills and knowledge quite well. After she had completed her training she began her internship on a small Federation Cruiser the USS Victory. She spent the next two years under the watchful eye of the ships Chief Medical Officer as she homed her skills even further and earned a lot of respect from her peers. Upon completing her internship on the Victory she served with the vessel for another two months before she was transferred to the USS Fortune where she took up the position as the ship's Assistant Chief Medical Officer. She served on the Fortune for two years until the ship was decommissioned. She then put in a application for the position of Chief Medical Officer on the Galaxy Class USS Iowa under the command of Captain Edward Launceston

Her application was accepted and she transferred to the USS Iowa which was docked at the Federation Space Station Deep Space 12. Connie served on the Iowa for close to seven months, in that she time she quickly learnt to the handle the stresses and increased responsibilities that came with serving on a Galaxy Class Starship. She quickly grew to consider the Iowa as her home and became attached to the crew and various families that also called the Iowa home. Connie also started to redevelop her friendship with the Iowa’s first officer and her future husband Commander Daniel Butterworth who she had known from her time at Star Fleet Academy. During her tenure on the Iowa Connie proved herself to be a vital member of the Iowa’s senior staff by playing an important role in the [[USS Iowa|Iowa’s] mission to the Omerican System.

Over the months that followed Connie continued to build on her already solid reputation of being an excellent doctor and Star Fleet Officer. In what would turn out to be her final mission for the Iowa Connie was called in to participate as a field medic in a marine lead operation to board a hostile starship. Connie accepted the assignment without hesitation and was quickly thrown into the deep end when the operation commenced, despite her lack of experience in boarding and combat operations Connie was able to keep a level head and provide excellent medical support to the Iowa’s marines.

Following the success of the mission and with the Iowa scheduled for repairs Connie was approached and offered the position of Chief Medical Officer on the soon to be commissioned Sovereign Class starship Pacifica, the offer had been extended to her by the Iowa’s Executive Officer Commander Daniel Butterworth who was transferring to the Pacifica to serve as it’s Commanding Officer. At first Connie was hesitant to take up Butterworth on his offer due to her close ties with the Iowa, but she chose to accept the posting after learning that Captain Launceston was also leaving the Iowa for a position at Starfleet Headquarters. Connie’s final days on the Iowa passed without incident and she transferred to the USS Pacifica along with Butterworth once the Iowa returned to Deep Space 12.

Connie instantly fell in love with her new posting much like she had with the USS Iowa several months previously and quickly went about setting up her new sickbay to her own liking. During the Pacifica’s first mission Connie was once again called in to participate in a boarding operation, this time on one of Starfleet’s own starships, the Ambassador Class, USS Nimitz which was under the control of rogue elements of Star Fleet Intelligence and Section 31. The luck that had served her so well during her time on Iowa didn’t hold out this time as she injured during an intense fire fight that had erupted on the Nimitz. She was evacuated back to the Pacifica along with the rest of the Pacifica’s boarding party and in the confusion that followed Connie was abducted from the Pacifica’s Sickbay along with Commander Luke Evans both officers were held on the USS Nimitz until they were rescued by the Pacifica’s crew. Connie earned a Purple Heart for injures that she received during the boarding operation as well as an official commendation for the way that she handled herself under duress.
